Charlie is a charming, happy, busy young German Shepherd/Husky cross looking for a loving home. Charlie (Born - 12/2008) is a wonderful companion and eager chief assistant.  He approaches life with boundless enthusiasm. He will gladly be your active companion or rest attentively at your feet… or in your lap… or on the bed.

Charlie is an avid counter surfer and an accomplished retriever. He can retrieve footwear and couch pillows from two levels of the house, the lid to the recycling container, a pair of reading glasses and enthusiastically assemble it all in a loose pile on the kitchen floor in less than 90 seconds.  It’s rare to see Charlie without a favorite toy, rawhide or something in his mouth. He will happily retrieve a tennis ball as many times as you will throw it.

While Charlie needs plenty of exercise he is an affectionate snuggler once his exercise needs have been met. He has a good grasp of basic obedience commands; "sit", "down", "off", "come", and "NO!" He is crate-trained and walks nicely on a leash.  Charlie has never met a person or another dog that he doesn't like.  An experienced, active dog owner would be best for Charlie. If he has to be home during the day while his owner/family is at work, he will be happiest in a home with at least one other active dog.
