If you talk with the animals

they will talk with you

and you will know each other.

If you do not talk with them,

you will not know them.

And what you do not know you will fear.

What one fears, one destroys.

Marilyn,

I just had to let you know. Bitsy had her dental work done yesterday as we discussed in our consultation last week. She did have one tooth pulled. Maybe that was the 'black tooth' you mentioned.

She had requested carrots for a treat.

We had steamed some baby carrots and when she was comfortable in the living room with us, and the carrots had cooled off, I offered one to her. She sniffed it, and took it and consumed it. Over the course of the evening she consumed the entire cup of carrots that we had cooked for her.

My husband was completely floored. Neither he nor I have ever been big carrot eaters and don't know how Bitsy knows about carrots. When I told him that this was what Bitsy had requested, he pretty much cooked the carrots just to humor me, but when Bitsy started eating them he was flabbergasted. (We offered a carrot to Jordan, the other dog, who wanted nothing to do with them).

Anyway, thank you again for the consultation.
